Zink-ratiopharm 25 mg effervescent tablets are a mineral preparation that is used to treat clinically confirmed zinc deficiency conditions, provided these cannot be remedied through diet.Zinc is essential for the immune system and, if deficient, can help prevent colds.The effervescent tablets are hygienically individually packaged.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each effervescent tablet contains 69 mg zinc sulfate monohydrate, which corresponds to 25 mg zinc.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: anhydrous citric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium carbonate, mannitol, sodium citrate x 2 H2O, saccharin sodium, sodium cyclamate, lemon flavor (consisting of natural lemon oil, mannitol, maltodextrin, D-glucono-1,5-lactone and sorbitol).

Contraindications

Zink-ratiopharm 25 mg effervescent tablets must not be used if you are allergic to zinc sulfate monohydrate or any of the other ingredients.Caution is also advised in the case of peptic ulcers, acute renal failure or severe renal parenchymal damage.Children under 12 years of age should generally not use the medicine.

Dosage and application

Adults and children over 12 years of age should take half to one full effervescent tablet daily, which corresponds to 12.5 to 25 mg of zinc.The effervescent tablet should be dissolved in half a glass of water and taken after a meal.The duration of use depends on the severity of the zinc deficiency.In the event of an overdose, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted immediately.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Zink-ratiopharm 25 mg effervescent tablets can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.In very rare cases, skin reactions such as redness or itching may occur.Long-term use can lead to copper deficiency.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not store it above 25°C.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Store the effervescent tablets in the unopened original packaging to protect them from moisture.
