General information about tannalbin tablets
Tannalbin tablets are a gastrointestinal agent used as an antidiarrheal. The active ingredient in these tablets is tannin protein, which has a supportive effect on acute non-specific diarrheal diseases such as summer and traveler's diarrhea. This product is suitable for adults and children aged 5 and over.No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Tannalbin tablets are used to support the treatment of acute non-specific diarrheal diseases. These include, for example, summer and travel diarrhea. If your condition does not improve after 3 to 4 days or even worsens, you should consult a doctor.
Application and dosage
Always take Tannalbin tablets exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dosage for children between 5 and 12 years is 1 tablet, 4 to 6 times daily.Children aged 12 and over and adults can take 1 to 2 tablets 4 to 6 times daily. The exact dose and frequency depend on the severity of the diarrheal illness.
The tablets should be taken before or with meals with sufficient liquid. If necessary, they can also be chopped up and mixed with food or drinks. The score line is only used to split the tablet if swallowing the whole thing is difficult. The effect of the tablets is supported by a diet in which slag-rich and spicy foods should be avoided.
Tannalbin tablets should be taken regularly until the diarrhea subsides. If diarrhea in children lasts longer than 24 hours or is accompanied by vomiting, you should definitely see a doctor. If the diarrhea does not stop after 3 to 4 days despite taking the tablets and is accompanied by fever and/or bloody stools, you should also consult a doctor.
