Xitix is a vitamin supplement used to treat and prevent vitamin C deficiency diseases.These diseases include prescurvy, scurvy and Moeller-Barlow disease.Prescurvy manifests itself through an increased tendency to bleeding and reduced physical performance.Scurvy is associated with extensive bleeding throughout the body, while Moeller-Barlow disease affects bone growth in infants.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage and instructions for use

The tablets are sucked and can be divided into four equal doses.The recommended dose varies depending on age and intended use:

Children 4-12 years old (approx. 15-44 kg): For prevention, 1/4-1/2 lozenge (125-250 mg ascorbic acid) 2-3 times a week, for treatment daily.Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (from approx. 44 kg): For prevention, 1/4-1/2 lozenges (125-250 mg ascorbic acid) daily, for treatment 1-2 lozenges (500-1000 mg ascorbic acid) daily.

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.You should not use the medicine to treat vitamin C deficiency for longer than 14 days without medical advice.

Contraindications

Xitix must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, in children under 4 years of age, and under certain circumstances in cases of kidney stones made from calcium oxalate, iron storage diseases, dialysis, a predisposition to kidney stone formation and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

Possible side effects include allergic hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract and skin reactions.If you feel unwell or change during treatment, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition

Active ingredients: 250 mg ascorbic acid, 281.25 mg sodium ascorbate, total 500 mg ascorbic acid.Excipients: corn starch, magnesium stearate, sodium cyclamate, saccharin sodium, sucrose, sodium chloride, 34 mg sodium ion, anhydrous sodium sulfate, quinoline yellow, yellow orange S, passion fruit flavor.

Mode of action

Ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, is a water-soluble vitamin that supports the immune system, neutralizes free radicals, accelerates blood clotting, binds toxic heavy metals and promotes iron absorption from the intestine.It can also act as a buffer and improve stomach tolerance of medicines.

Important notes

Be careful if you are allergic to ascorbic acid, cyclamate, saccharin, dyes or are intolerant to sucrose.Be aware of the sugar content in a diabetes diet.Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you take.

Storage

Keep Xitix out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Plastic tubes do not require special storage conditions, while aluminum blisters should not be stored above 25°C.Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater.
