ADAPTIC non-adherent wound dressing is a primary dressing made of woven cellulose.This cellulose is impregnated with a special petroleum jelly emulsion.The bandage measures 3" x 16.

Mode of action

The ADAPTIC non-adhesive wound dressing allows for easy and painless removal.The unique cellulose acetate grid protects the newly formed tissue during dressing changes by minimizing tissue trauma.This reduces the risk of sticking and maceration.The pore size of the dressing allows exudate to flow freely into the secondary dressing, reducing the risk of exudate accumulation and maceration in the wound.In addition, the risk of sticking to the wound, both from the ADAPTIC non-adhesive wound dressing and from the secondary dressing, is reduced.

Indications

ADAPTIC non-adhesive wound dressing can be used for dry to heavily exuding wounds.These include first and second degree burns, lacerations and abrasions, transplants, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, nail extractions, eczema, punches and sutures, and wounds following surgical and reconstructive procedures.
