Instructions for use of Stellisept med Lotion

Stellisept med Lotion is a mild antimicrobial wash lotion that is suitable for body, hair and hands.It works comprehensively against bacteria, including MRSA/ORSA and VRE, within 30 seconds.The lotion is characterized by a pleasant scent and is free of alcohol and dyes.

The lotion is suitable for antimicrobial body washing and disinfection in MRSA-colonization in accordance with the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute as well as for hygienic hand washing.It offers a fast-acting and skin-friendly alternative to conventional decontamination preparations.

Skin disinfection

Skin disinfection is one of the most important measures in medical facilities.It is required before any procedure that involves damaging the skin, such as before taking blood, giving injections, inserting indwelling venous cannulas, removing stitches or staples or caring for wounds.

There are two techniques for skin disinfection: spraying and rubbing.During the spraying process, the relevant area of skin is sprayed with skin disinfectant until it is completely wetted.With the rubbing method, the agent is applied using a swab until the surface to be disinfected is completely covered.
