KY Cor Novo film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient *Crataegus laevigata* (Poir.) DC, also known as hawthorn.This herbal medicinal product is used for moderate heart failure.No prescription is required for this product.

Therapeutic Indications

The preparation is used for reduced cardiac performance corresponding to NYHA stage II .It is a herbal medicinal product for heart conditions.

Dosage and Instructions for Use

Adolescents aged 12 years and older and adults should take 1 tablet 2-3 times daily before meals—in the morning, in the evening, and, if applicable, at midday.The tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid, such as a glass of water.The recommended duration of use is a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 6 months.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

If a dose is missed, continue taking the medication as usual at the next scheduled time; do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.Pay particular attention to accurate dosing for infants, young children, and the elderly.A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet and should therefore be followed according to the doctor's instructions.

Contraindications

Composition

Mechanism of action

The ingredients of the medicinal product are derived from the hawthorn plant and act as a natural mixture.Hawthorn is a shrub-like tree with thorny branches, small, deeply lobed leaves, and small white flowers.The ripe fruits are bright red.The plant is found in Europe and Asia.The main constituents are procyanidins and flavonoids such as vitexin and hyperoside.The plant parts used are primarily extracts and tinctures of leaves, flowers, and berries.

The ingredients bring about a slight increase in cardiac performance by enhancing contractile force and dilating blood vessels.They improve blood flow to the heart muscle and the coronary arteries.
