RINGER-ACETAT-LÖSUNG Bernburg

The RINGER-ACETAT-LÖSUNG Bernburg is a solution for fluid and electrolyte replacement.It is used for a balanced acid-base balance and for mild acidosis.It also serves as a short-term intravascular volume replacement in isotonic and hypotonic dehydration.It is also suitable as a carrier solution for compatible electrolyte concentrates and medications.

Ingredients

One liter of the solution contains the following active ingredients: sodium chloride (6.0 g), potassium chloride (0.4 g), calcium chloride dihydrate (0.134 g), magnesium chloride hexahydrate (0.203 g) and sodium acetate trihydrate (3.7 g).The molar concentration is: Na+ 130 mmol/l, K+ 5.4 mmol/l, Ca2+ 0.9 mmol/l, Mg2+ 1 mmol/l, Cl- 112 mmol/l and acetate 27 mmol/l.The other ingredient included is water for injection purposes.

Contraindications and side effects

The RINGER-ACETAT-LÖSUNG Bernburg must not be used in hyperhydration states.Possible side effects include hospital-acquired hyponatremia and acute hyponatremic encephalopathy.The frequency of these side effects is not known.
