Areas of application
Quercus ointment is used according to anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.This includes stimulating the building and structuring forces in deforming chronic inflammatory changes in the mucous membrane, skin and subcutaneous tissue.This includes in particular congestion symptoms such as hemorrhoids, diseases associated with varicose veins (varicose symptom complex) and stasis eczema.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The ointment contains the following active ingredients: Borago officinalis e foliis ferm 34b Ø, Hamamelis virginiana e foliis ferm 33d Ø and Quercus robur/petraea e cortice, Decoctum Ø.Other ingredients include refined peanut oil, white petroleum jelly and wool wax.
Contraindications
Quercus ointment must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the active ingredients, peanut oil, soy or any of the other ingredients.
Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, the ointment should be applied 1 to 3 times a day to adults and children aged 12 and over or used as an ointment bandage.
Duration of application
Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2-5 days, see a doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic diseases should be coordinated with a doctor.
Side effects
Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.If you are hypersensitive to components of Quercus ointment, especially wool wax alcohols, allergic reactions may occur.If skin redness occurs, possibly associated with itching, the use of Quercus ointment should be stopped and a doctor consulted if necessary.
Precautions for use and warnings
It may only be used on intact skin or in the case of weeping rashes.In the case of “open legs” and “bed sores due to being confined to bed”, it is important to ensure that the outer skin is still closed.Wool wax can cause localized skin irritation.There is no adequately documented experience with use in children under 12 years of age.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Like all medicines, Quercus ointment should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.When treating hemorrhoids with Quercus ointment, the additive petroleum jelly can lead to a reduction in tear resistance and thus an impairment of the safety of the condoms when condoms are used at the same time.

There are no known interactions with other products.

Storage and shelf life
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container and the outer packaging.Do not store/keep above 30 °C!Shelf life of 4 months after opening.
