Instructions for use of Echinacin Liquidum

Echinacin Liquidum is a herbal medicine that is used to support the treatment of recurring infections in the respiratory and urinary tract areas.The active ingredient is purple coneflower pressed juice, which is obtained from fresh, flowering purple coneflower.This medicine is available without a prescription.

Areas of application

Echinacin Liquidum is used for recurrent respiratory and urinary tract infections.If symptoms persist for a long time, fever, shortness of breath, purulent or bloody sputum or blood in the urine, a doctor should be consulted.

Contraindications

Echinacin Liquidum must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to purple coneflower or other composite plants, if you have progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, leukemia, collagen vascular disease, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, HIV-infections, chronic viral diseases and autoimmune diseases, and in children under 4 years of age.

Dosage and application

Children between 4 and 6 years of age take 1.25 ml 3 times a day, children between 6 and 12 years of age take 2 ml 3 times a day and adults and children over 12 years of age take 2.5 ml of Echinacin Liquidum 3 times a day.The liquid should be taken in sufficient water or tea.The application should not last longer than 2 weeks.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions can occur very rarely.Possible side effects include skin rash, itching, facial swelling, shortness of breath, dizziness and drop in blood pressure.If such symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Composition

Echinacin Liquidum contains purple coneflower pressed juice as the active ingredient.The other ingredients are ethanol and purified water.The medicine contains 22% alcohol by volume.

Storage

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and not stored above 25°C.After opening the container, the medicine must be used within 3 months.
