Instructions for use for Argentum Metallicum Praeparatum 0.4% ointment

Argentum metallicum praeparatum 0.4% ointment is an anthroposophical medicine.It is used according to the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature to stimulate and structure metabolic processes.Areas of application include exhausting fever states, acute inflammatory diseases, constitutional weakness, mental overload and sleep disorders.No prescription is required for this product.

Important notes

Argentum metallicum praeparatum 0.4% must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to silver.It should not be used in cases of fever, acute inflammatory diseases or depression without medical advice.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.Under the influence of sunlight, the skin in the area of application may turn gray.Therefore, the treated areas should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Like all medicines, Argentum metallicum praeparatum 0.4% should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.There are no known interactions with other medicines.

Application

Always use Argentum metallicum praeparatum 0.4% exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is a 2 - 3 cm strand of ointment, once or twice a day.Schoolchildren aged 6 to 11 receive a strand of ointment measuring 1 - 2 cm, also once or twice a day.Small children aged 1 to 5 years and infants in their first year of life receive a 1 cm strand of ointment once or twice daily.

In the case of fever and inflammatory diseases, the ointment is applied thinly to the affected organ area after a medical examination.In the case of constitutional weakness, sleep disorders and after mental overload, it is applied in a clockwise circular motion to the abdomen.

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2 days, see a doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic diseases should be discussed with the doctor.If an application is missed, a double dose should not be used.

Side effects and composition

There are no known side effects.The ointment contains Argentum metallicum praeparatum Trit as the active ingredient.D1 0.4g.The ointment base consists of thick paraffin, protegin WX (yellow petroleum jelly, ceresin, hydrogenated castor oil, glycerol monoisostearate, polyglycerol-3-oleate), yellow petroleum jelly and purified water.

The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.It should not be stored above 25°C.
