Instructions for use of arnica ointment 30%

Arnica ointment 30% is an anthroposophic medicine that is used to treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system and the vascular system.It is used to stimulate and harmonize the metabolic and form processes in the event of tissue and organ damage, especially after mechanical influences and disruptions to the blood supply.Areas of application include blunt injuries such as strains, contusions, bruises and bruises.

Application and dosage

Arnica ointment 30% should always be used exactly according to the instructions in the package leaflet.The usual dose for adults and children aged 6 years and over is to apply to the skin on the affected areas 3 to 5 times daily.The ointment must not be applied to open wounds.After use, wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

The treatment is continued until the symptoms subside and should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2 to 5 days, you should consult a doctor.Do not use a double dose if you forget to use it previously.

Contraindications and precautions

Arnica ointment 30% must not be used on open wounds or if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to arnica, other composite plants such as chrysanthemums and yarrow, peanut oil / soybean oil or other components of the ointment base.If symptoms persist or are unclear, please consult a doctor.

Arnica ointment 30% can be used on school children aged 6 and over.Weleda Arnica Ointment 10% is available for infants and small children.Before using any medicines during pregnancy or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Side effects

Like all medicines, arnica ointment can cause 30% side effects, although not everyone gets them.When using preparations containing arnica on the skin, allergic reactions in the form of itching and reddening of the skin with blistering (eczema) can occur.Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.

Composition

10 g of the ointment contains: Active ingredient: 6 g ethanol.Extract from Arnica montana, Planta tota rec.(1:1,1).Ointment base: Refined peanut oil, Cetylstearyl alcohol, Yellow wax, Sodium cetylstearyl sulfate, Glycerol (mono, di)stearate, Purified water.

Storage

The medicine must be protected from heat and stored not above 25 °C.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.
