Stannum metallicum praeparatum D8 eye drops are an anthroposophical medicine that is used to accompany the treatment of increased intraocular pressure, also known as glaucoma or glaucoma.This product is available without a prescription.

Active ingredients and composition

The eye drops contain the active ingredient Stannum metallicum praeparatum Dil.D8 aquos.(HAB, V. 8b) in an amount of 10 g per 10.2 g (10 ml) of solution.In addition, the preparation contains boric acid, sodium tetraborate and is isotonized with potassium nitrate.The preservation takes place oligodynamically with silver.

Application and dosage

Stannum metallicum praeparatum D8 should always be used exactly as directed by your doctor.The usual dose is 1 drop instilled into the conjunctival sac 1-3 times a day.The duration of treatment should be determined in consultation with the doctor.If an application is forgotten, a double dose should not be used.

Precautions and contraindications

There are no known specific contraindications.It should not be used for glaucoma without medical advice and does not replace other medicines prescribed by a doctor.The eye drops should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there is no adequately documented experience.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should only be used after consulting your doctor.

Instructions for storage and use

The medicine should not be used after the expiry date stated on the label and carton.After first opening, the eye drops have a maximum shelf life of 4 weeks.Before first use, the original closure should be torn open using the tab provided.When closed, the bottle should be briefly shaken upside down.The protective cap should be pushed back on tightly immediately after applying the drops.

Information for contact lens wearers

The eye drops are compatible with contact lenses.However, it is recommended that you remove the lenses before applying the drops and only reinsert them after about 30 minutes.
