Instructions for use for Mepilex foam dressing

Mepilex is a soft polyurethane foam dressing that was specifically developed for the treatment of superficial, slightly to moderately exuding wounds.The bandage is equipped with Safetac technology, which makes changing and removing the bandage less painful for patients.Mepilex is easy to remove and reposition, leaves no residue in the wound and is extremely soft and adaptable.The good cushioning effect protects against further lesions.

The Mepilex foam dressing is suitable for the treatment of a wide range of chronic and acute wounds.It is easy to adjust and highly absorbent, ensuring effective exudate management.Every Mepilex wound dressing is equipped with Safetac, the original contact layer with silicone adhesion for less pain when changing dressings.

Mepilex is intended for a wide range of weakly to moderately exuding wounds.The bandage can be easily tailored to the specific wound or part of the body, making it perfect for difficult to bandage areas of the body.

Application of Mepilex

Always clean the wound before applying the dressing.Mepilex should cover the dry skin surrounding the wound by at least 1-2 cm for smaller sizes and 3-5 cm for larger sizes.Use Tubifast if fixation is required.

Mepilex is suitable for the treatment of chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, pressure sores and burns.The bandage enables a painless dressing change and thus prevents trauma to the wound.Mepilex also prevents maceration and can be cut to size.
