What is Dolobene® Ibu and what is it used for?

Dolobene® Ibu is a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory gel for rubbing.It is used as a sole or supportive external treatment for swelling and inflammation of the soft tissues near the joints, such as bursa, tendons, tendon sheaths, ligaments and joint capsules.It can also be used for sports and accidental injuries such as bruises, sprains and strains.Dolobene® Ibu is suitable for teenagers aged 14 and over and adults.

Dolobene® Ibu is used to treat swelling and inflammation of the soft tissues near the joints as well as sports and accident injuries such as bruises, sprains and strains.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The main active ingredient in Dolobene® Ibu is ibuprofen.One gram of the gel contains 50 mg of ibuprofen.Other ingredients include dimethyl isosorbide, propan-2-ol, poloxamer, medium-chain triglycerides, lavender oil, bitter orange flower oil and purified water.

Dosage and application

Dolobene® Ibu should always be used exactly according to the instructions in the package insert.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is a 4 to 10 cm long gel strand three times a day, which corresponds to 2 to 5 g of gel (100 to 250 mg of ibuprofen).The gel is applied to the skin and rubbed in carefully.

The duration of treatment should be determined by the doctor.For rheumatic diseases, a treatment period of up to 3 weeks is generally sufficient.For sports and accident injuries, treatment can last up to 2 weeks.

If you have used more Dolobene® Ibu than you should, no overdoses have been reported to date.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.

Contraindications

Dolobene® Ibu must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, open injuries, skin inflammation and eczema.Children under 14 years of age should generally not use the medicine.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

Possible side effects may include skin hypersensitivity reactions such as skin redness, itching, burning and drying of the skin.If you feel unwell or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep Dolobene® Ibu out of the reach of children and do not store it above 25°C.The medicine may be used for a maximum of 12 weeks after opening the tube.Never dispose of medicines via wastewater.No prescription is required for this product.
