Instructions for use of Stannum Metallicum Praeparatum

Stannum metallicum praeparatum is an anthroposophical medicine that is used to stimulate rhythmic balancing processes in various diseases.These include inflammatory and degenerative hardening diseases, especially to prevent chronic secretions such as effusions in body cavities and joints.Other areas of application include liver diseases with a hardening tendency, depressive moods, especially with mental rigidity, as well as neuralgia and migraines.

Important notes

Stannum metallicum praeparatum D8 must not be used if you are hypersensitive to milk protein.There are no known contraindications for the higher potencies (D10 to D30).It should not be used without medical advice and does not replace other medicines prescribed by a doctor.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.

The liquid dilutions for injection should not be used in children under 6 years of age as there is no adequately documented experience.It should also not be used in children from 6 years of age and adolescents up to 18 years of age without medical advice.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should only be used after consulting your doctor.There are no known interactions with other medicines.

Application

Always use Stannum metallicum praeparatum exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose for adults is 1 ml twice weekly to once daily, injected subcutaneously.The dosage for children aged 6 and over is determined by the attending physician.The injection is usually carried out in the thigh, the outside of the upper arm or the abdominal region.

It should not be used for longer than 4 weeks without medical advice.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.It is recommended that an experienced person learn the injection technique.

Side effects

Stannum metallicum praeparatum D8 can cause allergic reactions because it contains small amounts of milk protein.There are no known side effects for the higher potencies (from D10).If you experience side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition and dosage form

Stannum metallicum praeparatum is available in various potencies (D8, D10, D20, D30) as a liquid dilution for injection.Each ampoule contains 1 ml of the active ingredient Stannum metallicum praeparatum in the respective dilution.The liquid dilutions for injection D8 and D10 contain sodium chloride as an excipient, while the potencies D20 and D30 are isotonized with sodium chloride.

The medicine is available in pack sizes of 8 ampoules (1 ml each) for D8 to D30 and 48 ampoules (1 ml each) for D8.
