Instructions for use of Majorana/Melissa vaginal tablets

Majorana/Melissa vaginal tablets are an anthroposophical medicine that is used to stimulate heat organization in the pelvic area.Areas of application include disorders of the vaginal flora, discharge (fluor vaginalis), vaginal inflammation (colpitis), also of a bacterial nature, as well as inflammation of the mucous membrane and muscle tissue of the uterus (endometritis, endomyometritis).It can also be used for painful cramps (parametropathia spastica) and as follow-up treatment after antibiotic or sulfonamide therapy.No prescription is required for this product.

Application and dosage

Majorana/Melissa vaginal tablets should always be used exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose is one vaginal tablet inserted into the vagina in the evening.Treatment should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2-3 days, a doctor should be consulted.In the case of chronic illnesses, consultation with the doctor is necessary.

Composition

Each vaginal tablet contains 0.05 g of ethanolic extract of Majorana (drug to extract = 1:1) and 0.05 g of ethanolic extract of Melissae folium (drug to extract = 1:1).Other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, wheat starch and calcium behenate.

Side effects and precautions

Like all medicines, Majorana/Melissa vaginal tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Hypersensitivity reactions can occur very rarely.In these cases, the medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the vaginal tablets should only be used after consulting your doctor.

Storage and shelf life

The medicine should not be stored above 25 °C and should not be used after the expiry date stated on the blister pack and folding box.
