Area of application
This medicine is a mineral supplement used to treat magnesium deficiency.It is used if there is a proven magnesium deficiency and this is the cause of disorders of muscle activity, such as neuromuscular disorders or leg cramps.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
The active ingredient of this preparation is magnesium aspartate hydrochloride.Each film-coated tablet contains 1229.6 mg magnesium L-aspartate hydrochloride 3-water, which corresponds to 121.5 mg magnesium ions and 5 mmol magnesium ions.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: citric acid (anhydrous), macrogol 6000, saccharin sodium salt, sucrose (3.2 g), sodium ions (23 mg) and lemon flavor.
Contraindications
This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to magnesium aspartate hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.The preparation should also not be used in cases of severe kidney dysfunction with a glomerular filtration rate of less than 30 ml/min or if the body is dehydrated (exsiccosis).
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The dosage depends on the extent of the magnesium deficiency and is determined by the doctor.The recommended average daily dose is 0.185 mmol magnesium per kg body weight.In chronic and severe acute magnesium deficiency conditions, the daily dose can be increased to 0.37 mmol magnesium per kg body weight.
The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents aged 15 and over is the contents of one sachet 1 to 3 times daily.Children 4 to 14 years old should take one sachet 1 to 2 times daily, while children 1 to 3 years old should receive one sachet once daily.The medicine is not suitable for children under 1 year of age.
The drug should be used with caution in mild to moderate renal impairment.The duration of use also depends on the extent of the magnesium deficiency and is determined by the doctor.
Intake
Mix the contents of one sachet in half a glass of water, tea or fruit juice and drink the entire contents of the glass.The medicine should be taken before meals to improve absorption into the bloodstream.
Patient information
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.Caution is required when using magnesium preparations if there is mild to moderate impairment of kidney function.The therapy should be closely monitored by the doctor.In children aged 1 to 3 years, use should be closely monitored as a precaution and the dosage should be reduced or the preparation temporarily discontinued if diarrhea occurs.
No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.The preparation can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if the doctor considers it necessary.Experience with more than 1000 pregnancy outcomes does not indicate a risk of malformations or effects of magnesium on male or female fertility.Magnesium had no effects on breastfed newborns/infants of treated mothers.
