Instructions for use of Helixor M 20 mg

Helixor® is an anthroposophic medicine that is used for the extended treatment of tumor diseases.It contains extracts from fresh mistletoe, with Helixor® A made from pine mistletoe, Helixor® M from apple tree mistletoe and Helixor® P from pine mistletoe.The injection solution contains the extract from the respective mistletoe as the active ingredient and water for injection purposes and sodium chloride as the extract.

No prescription is required for this product.Please read this entire leaflet carefully for important information.This medicine is also available without a prescription.However, in order to achieve the best possible treatment success, Helixor® must be used correctly as directed by the doctor.

Areas of application

In accordance with the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, Helixor® is used in adults to stimulate form and integration forces to dissolve and reintegrate growth processes that have become independent.These include malignant tumor diseases, including those with accompanying disorders of the blood-forming organs, benign tumor diseases, defined precancerous lesions and the prevention of relapses after tumor operations.

Application instructions

Helixor® must not be used if you are hypersensitive to mistletoe preparations, suffer from an acute inflammatory or high fever illness, suffer from chronic granulomatous diseases or autoimmune diseases with severe symptoms or are receiving immunosuppressive treatment.If you are hypersensitive to other substances, particularly careful dosage is required.

The use of Helixor® should be carried out under medical supervision.The usual dose is one subcutaneous injection 2 to 3 times weekly.Therapy begins with an introductory phase in which the dose is gradually increased.The optimal dose must be determined individually and depends on the patient's reactions.

Side effects

Possible side effects include a slight increase in body temperature, localized inflammatory reactions around the injection site, and temporary mild swelling of regional lymph nodes.If there is a fever over 38 °C or major local reactions over 5 cm in diameter, the next injection should only be given after these symptoms have subsided and at a reduced strength or dose.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on each ampoule and box.Store the ampoules in the original packaging to protect the contents from light.Store in the refrigerator.

Composition

1 ml injection solution (1 ampoule) Helixor® contains the active ingredient the extract of fresh pine mistletoe, apple tree mistletoe or pine mistletoe (plant to extract = 1:20) in various concentrations.The other ingredients are water for injections, sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide.

Helixor® is available in various packs, including original packs of 8 ampoules of the same concentration, bulk packs of 50 ampoules and serial packs of 7 ampoules in increasing concentrations.
