Instructions for use of Helixor M 30 mg

Helixor® M is an anthroposophic medicine that is used for the extended treatment of tumor diseases.It contains an extract of fresh apple tree mistletoe (Viscum album ssp. album) in a ratio of 1:20, prepared with water for injection purposes and sodium chloride as an extractant.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

In accordance with the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, Helixor® M is used in adults to stimulate form and integration forces to dissolve and reintegrate growth processes that have become independent.This includes malignant tumor diseases, including those with accompanying disorders of the blood-forming organs, benign tumor diseases, defined precancerous lesions and the prevention of relapses after tumor operations.

Composition

One ampoule of Helixor® M 30 mg contains an aqueous extract of fresh apple tree mistletoe, equivalent to 30 mg of fresh plant.In addition, the solution for injection contains sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injections.

Application

Helixor® M is used as a subcutaneous injection, if possible in the vicinity of the tumor or metastases, otherwise in different areas of the intact skin.The usual dosage is 2-3 injections per week.Therapy usually begins with a low dose, which is gradually increased until the optimal individual dose is determined.This dose is then continued in the maintenance phase, with rhythmic applications and breaks recommended to avoid habituation effects.

Side effects

Possible side effects include a slight increase in body temperature, localized inflammatory reactions around the injection site, and temporary mild swelling of regional lymph nodes.If there is a fever over 38 °C or major local reactions over 5 cm in diameter, the next injection should only be given after these symptoms have subsided and at a reduced strength or dose.Allergic reactions are also possible and require discontinuation of the preparation and immediate medical treatment.

Storage instructions

Helixor® M should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in the refrigerator.The ampoules must be stored in the original packaging to protect the contents from light.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the ampoule and box.
