Instructions for use for Helixor P series pack II

Helixor® A/-M/-P injection solution contains extracts from fresh mistletoe.Depending on the variant, it is made from pine mistletoe (Helixor® A), apple tree mistletoe (Helixor® M) or pine mistletoe (Helixor® P).The amount of fresh plant used to make one ampoule is given in milligrams.Water for injections and sodium chloride serve as extractants.

In accordance with the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, Helixor® is used in adults to stimulate form and integration forces to dissolve and reintegrate growth processes that have become independent.This includes malignant and benign tumor diseases, also with accompanying disorders of the blood-forming organs, defined precancerous lesions and the prevention of relapses after tumor operations.

Application and dosage

Helixor® is administered by subcutaneous injection, if possible near tumors or metastases.Alternatively, other intact skin areas such as the abdominal skin, the upper arm or the thighs can also be chosen.Do not inject into inflamed skin areas or radiation areas.The usual dosage is 2-3 injections per week, starting with a low dose and gradually increasing it.

The optimal dose is determined individually and can be adjusted depending on the patient's reaction.During treatment, temperature reactions, local inflammatory reactions and subjective well-being should be monitored.In case of excessive reactions, the dose should be reduced.

The maintenance phase involves rhythmic application in order to avoid habituation effects.This can be achieved by alternating doses with lower doses, rhythmizing the injection intervals or adding breaks.

Side effects and precautions

Possible side effects include a slight increase in body temperature, localized inflammatory reactions around the injection site, and temporary swelling of regional lymph nodes.If there is a fever over 38 °C or major local reactions over 5 cm in diameter, the next injection should only be given after these symptoms have subsided and at a reduced strength or dose.

Helixor® must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to mistletoe preparations, acute inflammatory or high fever diseases, chronic granulomatous diseases and autoimmune diseases with severe symptoms, hyperthyroidism with palpitations, as well as primary brain and spinal cord tumors or intracranial metastases with the risk of increased intracranial pressure.

Composition and storage

Helixor® is available in different strengths depending on the amount of fresh plant material used.In addition to the mistletoe extract, the injection solution also contains sodium chloride and water for injection purposes.Helixor® should be stored in the refrigerator, with higher doses not being stored above 30°C.
