Hepathrombin ointment 60,000 IU contains the active ingredient heparin sodium, which is obtained from pig intestinal mucosa.This medicine is available without a prescription and is used as a supportive treatment for acute swelling following blunt trauma and superficial phlebitis if this cannot be treated with compression.

Areas of application

Dosage and instructions for use

Contraindications

Side effects

Composition

The active ingredient is heparin sodium (porcine mucosa).100 g of hepathrombin ointment 60,000 IU contain 60,000 IU heparin sodium (porcine mucosa).The other ingredients are preservatives: 0.22 g sorbic acid (Ph.Eur.).Excipients: allantoin, carbomer 980, dexpanthenol, sodium edetate (Ph.Eur.), glycerol monostearate, (hexadecyl/octadecyl)-[(RS)2-ethylhexanoat]-isopropyltetradecanoate (7:2:1), levomenthol, thin paraffin, tris[dodecylpoly(oxyethylen)4]phosphate, trometamol, white petroleum jelly, microcrystalline wax,purified water.

Mode of action
