Instructions for use of Lavandula Oleum Eth.10%

Lavandula Oleum Eth.10% is an anthroposophic medicine used as a bath additive.The active ingredient is Lavandulae aetheroleum at a concentration of 10%.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

This medicine is used according to the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.It can help with various complaints, including vegetative balance disorders with nervous restlessness, difficulty falling asleep, tension and cramps.It can also be used for functional cardiovascular disorders, flatulence, menstrual disorders, nerve pain and degenerative nerve diseases.

Contraindications

The medicine should not be used for eczema unless expressly prescribed by the doctor.

Precautions and warnings

In the case of major skin injuries, acute, unclear skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure and high blood pressure, full baths should only be used after consulting a doctor.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.There is no adequately documented experience with the use of the drug in children with degenerative nerve diseases and neuralgia.It should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age for these diseases.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Like all medicines, Lavandula Oleum Eth.10% should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, 3 to 5 ml of the liquid bath additive (approx. 1 teaspoon) should be added to a bathtub (approx. 200 l of water) 2 to 3 times a week.The bath temperature should be between 35 °C and 37 °C and the bath should last about 20 minutes.It is recommended that you adhere to the specified amount of oil, as a higher dosage does not bring any benefits and larger amounts can soil clothing.

Duration of application

As a rule, oil dispersion baths are carried out 2 to 3 times a week for 2 to 3 weeks.However, in acute illness situations, daily use can also be helpful.As an accompanying therapy, the oil dispersion bath can also be carried out over a longer period of time in chronic situations after consultation with the doctor.

Side effects

So far there are no known side effects.

Composition

10 g (11 ml) of the bath additive contains Lavandulae aetheroleum 10% (HAB, vs. 12h with virgin olive oil) 10 g.
