Areas of application

Aurica thyme herb tea is used for symptoms of bronchitis and catarrh of the upper respiratory tract.The tea is suitable for supporting the treatment of respiratory colds, coughs and other complaints.

Composition

The medicinally active ingredient of Aurica thyme herb tea is thyme.The thyme plant, also known as Thymus vulgaris, is an aromatic-scented dwarf shrub with light purple flowers.It contains tannins, flavonoids and the essential oil thymol and carvacrol.The plant parts used are the leaves and flowers of real thyme.

Mode of action

Thyme has disinfectant, expectorant, antispasmodic and expectorant properties.The ingredients stimulate the fine hairs of the bronchi to move faster and stimulate the lung cells to excrete thinner secretions.This makes coughing up easier.Thyme also relieves spasms in the bronchi and digestive tract.

Dosage instructions and method of application

Unless otherwise prescribed, a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk several times a day: A teaspoonful (approx. 1.4 g) of thyme herb tea is poured over with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and after about 10 to 15 minutes, if necessary, strained through a tea strainer.The tea should be drunk hot.

Important notes

Be careful if you are allergic to cinnamon, birch, poplar buds, propolis, valerian, turmeric, rosin, phenol, salicylic acid, benzyl alcohol or parabens.These allergies can also be transmitted to thyme.
