Instructions for use for Bombastus thyme tea, 80 g
Thyme, medicinal tea
Thyme is a herbal remedy used to treat respiratory diseases. This medicinal tea is used for symptoms of bronchitis and catarrh of the upper respiratory tract. The essential oils of thyme (Thymus vulgaris) stimulate the ciliated epithelium of the upper respiratory tract. This loosens thick mucus and allows it to be coughed up.The ingredients in thyme also have an anti-inflammatory effect.Tea made from thyme herb is therefore suitable for the supportive treatment of diseases of the upper respiratory tract with thick mucus, such as bronchitis and coughs.
Application
Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk several times a day: 1 teaspoon full (approx. 1.4 g) of thyme is poured with boiling water (approx. 150 ml), covered and after about 10 to 15 minutes strained through a tea strainer. For all loose teas we recommend the practical tea clip for filter paper.
