Instructions for use of arnica ointment

Arnica ointment is an anthroposophical medicine that can be used for various complaints.The active ingredients Arnica montana, Formica rufa and Symphytum officinale promote the healing of tissue and organs in the case of blunt injuries as well as inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

The arnica ointment is used according to anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.It is suitable for stimulating tissue and organ healing in the case of blunt injuries such as muscle strains, bruises and bruises.It can also help with inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as joint diseases.A doctor should be consulted in acute conditions with redness, swelling or overheating of the joints as well as in unclear or new symptoms that persist for more than 3-4 days.

Contraindications

Arnica ointment must not be used on children under 1 year of age, on damaged skin or if they are hypersensitive to arnica, other daisy plants such as chamomile flowers, marigold or yarrow, ant poison, peanut oil, soy or any of the other ingredients.

Application and dosage

The ointment should be applied to the affected area of skin once or twice a day and massaged in gently.Alternatively, an ointment bandage can be applied.Hands should be washed thoroughly after use to avoid accidental contact with open skin.Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks; for chronic illnesses, the treatment period must not exceed 6 weeks.

Side effects

In rare cases, allergic skin reactions may occur, particularly in cases of hypersensitivity to arnica or peanut oil.If the skin becomes red or itchy, use should be stopped and a doctor consulted if necessary.

Composition

10 g of the ointment contains 0.5 g Arnica montana e planta tota ferm 33c Ø, 0.01 g Formica rufa ex animale toto GI Ø, 0.2 g Symphytum officinale e radice ferm 34c Ø as well as the other ingredients refined peanut oil, white petroleum jelly, purified water and wool wax.

Notes

Arnica ointment should not be stored above 30 °C.Once opened, the ointment has a shelf life of 4 months.If you are allergic to peanuts and soy or have skin irritation caused by wool wax alcohols, you should use it with caution.Interactions with other medicines are not known.
