Instructions for use of Optiderm Lotion

Optiderm Lotion is a medicine that is used to support the treatment of skin diseases with itching and dry skin.It is ideal for daily basic care of dry, itchy skin and is free of dyes and fragrances.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Optiderm Lotion is used to regulate the moisture of the stratum corneum, to lubricate and relieve itching in skin diseases with dry and/or itchy skin.These include, for example, atopic eczema (neurodermatitis), desiccation eczema (drying damage caused by detergents, etc.) as well as the further and follow-up treatment of these skin diseases.The lotion is particularly suitable for treating larger, dry, itchy skin areas and hairy areas of the body such as the legs.

Application

Always use Optiderm Lotion exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Apply the lotion evenly and thinly to the affected skin areas twice a day.Make sure that the lotion does not come into contact with eyes and mucous membranes and do not apply the product to acutely inflamed, weeping or infected skin.

The duration of application depends on the clinical picture and is an average of three weeks.If you have persistent dry skin, you can use the product over a longer period of time after consulting your doctor.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Optiderm Lotion is too strong or too weak.

Storage

Keep Optiderm Lotion out of the reach and reach of children and do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the label and carton.After opening, the lotion has a shelf life of 6 months.Do not store the product above 30°C.

Never dispose of medicines via wastewater.Ask your pharmacy how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.

Composition

The active ingredients in Optiderm Lotion are urea and macrogol lauryl ether 6.5 (polidocanol).100 g of emulsion contains 5.0 g of urea and 3.0 g of macrogol lauryl ether 6.5 (Ph.Eur.) (Polidocanol).

The other ingredients are: purified water, octyldodecanol (Ph.Eur.), poly(methyl, phenylsiloxane), stearic acid 25, dimeticone, glycerol, thick paraffin, hexadecyl palmitate, polysorbate 40, carbomer 981, benzyl alcohol and trometamol.

Effect

Optiderm Lotion contains a unique active ingredient combination of urea and polidocanol.Urea is one of the best moisturizing factors and supports the skin's ability to bind water.Polidocanol has a local anesthetic effect on nerve fibers that mediate itching and thus quickly combats the torturous itching.

The lotion stabilizes the skin's barrier function and provides intensive moisture.It is an oil-in-water formulation with 25% lipid content and is quickly absorbed into the skin.
