Dona 1500 mg powder for oral solution is used to relieve symptoms of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee joint.The gluten- and lactose-free product has decades of therapeutic experience that prove its good tolerability.It has a targeted effect on knee pain and improves the mobility of the knee joint.

Mode of action

Dona 1500 mg powder for oral solution contains crystalline glucosamine hemisulfate as the active ingredient.Glucosamine and chondroitin are important components of our cartilage tissue and have an anti-inflammatory effect.This means that knee pain caused by joint inflammation can also be relieved with this product.Glucosamine hemisulfate is also a natural component of the synovial fluid and the cartilage matrix and stimulates the building processes in the knee joint to prevent further cartilage damage.

Contraindications

Dona 1500 mg powder for oral solution should not be used in:

A known hypersensitivity to glucosamine or any of the other ingredients

Pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there is no sufficient data for this

An allergy to shellfish, as glucosamine is obtained from them

Dosage

The recommended daily dose is 1500 mg in total.Adults dissolve one sachet in a glass of water once a day and drink the solution, preferably with a meal.

Intake

Take the contents of one sachet dissolved in a glass of water, preferably with a meal.

Patient information

Take special care when taking the medicine if you have impaired glucose tolerance.More frequent blood glucose measurements may be necessary when starting glucosamine treatment.If you suffer from impaired liver or kidney function, as no studies have been carried out in this patient group, no dosage recommendations can be given.If you are known to be at increased risk of cardiovascular disease, as in some cases an increase in blood lipid levels has been observed in patients treated with glucosamine.If you have asthma, you need to be prepared for possible worsening of symptoms.

Children and adolescents: Due to the lack of data on safety and effectiveness, the preparation is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Elderly: No specific studies have been conducted in elderly patients, but based on clinical experience, no dosage adjustment is necessary in the treatment of otherwise healthy elderly people.

Impaired liver or kidney function: No studies have been conducted in patients with impaired liver or kidney function.Therefore, no dosage recommendations can be given for these patients.

Driving and using machines: No studies have been conducted on the effects on the ability to drive or use machines.If you experience dizziness or dizziness, it is recommended that you refrain from driving or operating machines.
