Instructions for use for Advantix Spot-on spot-on solution for dogs up to 4 kg

Advantix® Spot-on Solution is a spot-on skin treatment for dogs.It is used to treat and prevent flea infestations and to treat lice.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Advantix® Spot-on solution is used to treat and prevent flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalides canis).The fleas are killed within a day of treatment.A single application provides four weeks of protection against new flea infestations.The agent can also be used as part of a strategy to treat flea allergic dermatitis (FAD).It also treats lice (Trichodectes canis).

The veterinary medicinal product has a sustained killing and repellent effect against ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus for four weeks and Dermacentor reticulatus for three weeks).The defensive effect and killing of the vector tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus reduces the likelihood of transmission of the pathogen Ehrlichia canis, which reduces the risk of monocytic Ehrlichiosis in dogs.This reduced risk has been demonstrated by studies starting from the third day after use over a period of four weeks.

A single application provides a repellent effect against butterfly midges (Phlebotomus papatasi for two weeks and Phlebotomus perniciosus for three weeks), mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti for two weeks and Culex pipiens for four weeks) and biting flies (Stomoxys calcitrans for four weeks).It also reduces the risk of infection by the pathogen Leishmania infantum, transmitted by sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus), for up to three weeks.

Application

For dogs weighing 10kg or less, the dog should stand still.Separate the fur at the application site until the skin is visible.Apply only to intact skin.Place the tip of the pipette on the skin between the shoulder blades and press firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.

Product features

Advantix® Spot-on Solution protects your dog from ticks, sand flies, mosquitoes and biting flies.It kills ticks, fleas and lice and is also effective against riparian ticks.The effect lasts even after bathing and swimming.The product is available in five sizes for all dogs and can also be used on lactating and pregnant dogs.It is suitable for puppies from the seventh week and from 1.5 kg body weight.
