Acneroxide 10 Gel is a topical acne medication for use on the skin. It is used for acne vulgaris, especially on the chest and back, and for acne vulgaris that does not respond adequately to 5% benzoyl peroxide preparations. The active ingredient benzoyl peroxide acts against the acne bacteria responsible for causing acne and improves skin keratinisation. Before using Akneroxid 10 Gel, make sure that you are not hypersensitive to benzoyl peroxide or any of the other ingredients of the gel. Special care should be taken in patients with atopic eczema and dry skin. The gel should not come into contact with the eyes, mucous membranes or injured skin. Application is once or twice daily on cleansed skin. The duration of treatment is usually 4 to 10 weeks. Possible side effects are a feeling of tightness, slight redness, flaking, burning and redness of the skin. If there is excessive redness and burning, discontinue use. Acneroxide 10 Gel should be kept out of the reach of children. It must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The gel should be stored at room temperature and used within 6 months after opening. Before using Acne Oxide 10 Gel, read the package leaflet and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any further questions. Make sure that your dosage and application instructions can be determined by a doctor. There are certain contraindications, especially in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the gel. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. Possible interactions with other medicines should also be considered.
