It contains electrolytes (salts) and glucose. The medicine is used to compensate for fluid losses in diarrhoeal diseases. In case of prolonged diarrhoea and impairment of the general condition, a doctor should be consulted. The dosage depends on the severity of the diarrhoea and may vary in different age groups. The medicine should be dissolved in water and drunk immediately. It should not be taken for longer than 36 hours. Oralpädon 240 may cause side effects such as vomiting. There are some contraindications and special instructions for use to be observed. The medicine should be kept away from heat and should not be used for more than 24 hours in the refrigerator or 1 hour at room temperature after opening/preparation.
