Application

This medicine is a laxative suitable for the treatment of chronic constipation in adolescents, adults and the elderly.It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.Macrogol helps to achieve comfortable bowel movements, even if you have suffered from constipation for a long time.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

One sachet contains the following active ingredients: 13.125 g macrogol 3350, 0.3507 g sodium chloride, 0.1785 g sodium bicarbonate and 0.0466 g potassium chloride.The following ingredients are also included: 46.6 mg potassium chloride, 24.44 mg potassium ion, 22.16 mg chloride ion, 350.7 mg sodium chloride, 137.99 mg sodium ion, 212.77 mg chloride ion, 178.5 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate, 48.85 mg sodium ion, 129.65 mgHydrogen carbonate ion, saccharin sodium 2-water, colloidal silicon dioxide, orange flavor, flavor corrector, maltodextrin, arabic gum, alpha-tocopherol, lemon-lime flavor, mannitol, D-glucono-1,5-lactone, 0.8 mg sorbitol and colloidal silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be taken if you are allergic to macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium chloride or any of the other ingredients.The medicine must also not be used if you have a perforated intestinal wall, an intestinal blockage or severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Adults, adolescents and elderly patients should take one sachet 1 to 3 times daily depending on their individual needs.The product is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

The duration of use should normally not be longer than 2 weeks.However, on the advice of your doctor, you may take it longer, especially if you have persistent constipation or certain diseases that cause constipation.In these cases the dose can be reduced to one sachet once or twice daily.

If you take more than you should, you may experience severe diarrhea and dehydration.In this case you should stop taking it and drink plenty of fluids.If you forget to take a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember and continue using it as directed.Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

To get the most benefit, always take the medicine as directed.If your symptoms worsen or do not improve, you should consult a doctor.If you have any further questions about taking it, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

This medicine can be taken at any time, without regard to food.Open the bag and pour the contents into a glass.Add about 125 ml of water and stir until the powder is completely dissolved and the solution is clear or slightly cloudy.Then drink the solution.

Patient information

You should continue to drink enough fluids while taking it, as the liquid content of the preparation does not replace your regular fluid intake.If you develop side effects such as swelling, shortness of breath, fatigue, dehydration or heart problems, stop taking it and contact your doctor immediately.

The preparation has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.The medicine can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The usual dose is 1 sachet dissolved in 125 ml of water, 1 to 3 times a day.The solution can be taken at any time and without regard to a meal.The treatment usually lasts about 2 weeks.For prolonged use or certain illnesses, the dose can be reduced to 1 or 2 sachets per day.
