Area of application

Perenterol® Junior 250 mg powder is a medicine for the treatment of symptoms of acute diarrheal illnesses, including traveler's diarrhea and diarrhea during tube feeding.It is used to prevent traveler's diarrhea and can be used for acute diarrhea for children and adults from 2 years of age and for infants from 6 months of age after consulting a doctor.To prevent traveler's diarrhea, it is suitable for teenagers and adults aged 12 and over.

Perenterol® Junior works against fluid loss, detoxifies and regenerates the intestines and stabilizes the intestinal flora.

Mode of action

Perenterol® Junior has a natural active ingredient: medicinal yeast Saccharomyces boulardii, which is characterized by its diverse, positively complementary effects.With Perenterol® Junior, the natural intestinal movement is not dampened and this differs from other anti-diarrhea remedies.Perenterol® Junior is also suitable for people with a sensitive intestine and can be used on children aged 2 and over.

1 Bag of Perenterol® Junior contains 250 mg of Saccharomyces cerevisiae HANSEN CBS 5926, dry yeast, as well as 1.8e+010 germs of Saccharomyces cerevisiae HANSEN CBS 5926. Other ingredients are highly disperse silicon dioxide, tutti-frutti aroma, lactose-1-water, 471.9 mgfructose and 0.1 mg sorbitol.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.Do not take medicines for fungal diseases that affect the gastrointestinal tract at the same time.Please consult a doctor if you have an intolerance to certain sugars or if you have been diagnosed with hereditary fructose intolerance.

Infants and small children under 2 years of age should always be excluded from self-medication, as diarrhea in infants and small children under 2 years of age requires consultation with a doctor.

Dosage

Recommended use of Perenterol® Junior:

Infants and small children between 6 months and 2 years: For acute diarrhea, 1 sachet of Perenterol Junior once or twice a day.Treatment may only be carried out after consultation with a doctor.It is not intended to be used to prevent traveler's diarrhea.

Children from 2 years up to and including 11 years: For acute diarrhea, 1 sachet of Perenterol Junior once or twice a day.It is not intended to be used to prevent traveler's diarrhea.

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults: For acute diarrhea, 1 sachet of Perenterol Junior once or twice a day.To prevent traveler's diarrhea, 1 sachet of Perenterol Junior 1 to 2 times a day starting 5 days before departure.

The contents of the bag should be stirred into plenty of water or other drinks or mixed with food that should not be too hot or iced.If you have diarrhea, you should continue treatment for a few days after the symptoms have subsided.To prevent traveler's diarrhea, treatment should be carried out consistently throughout the entire duration of the trip.

The widespread use of yeast as a food has so far provided no evidence of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.Results of experimental studies for Saccharomyces boulardii are not available.Therefore, the medicine should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Notes
