Areas of application

Juniorlax® is a laxative used to treat chronic constipation in children aged 2 to 11 years.It helps ease bowel movements and regulate digestion.

Active ingredients and ingredients

One sachet of Juniorlax® contains the following active ingredients: macrogol 3350 (6.563 g), sodium chloride (0.1754 g), sodium hydrogen carbonate (0.0893 g) and potassium chloride (0.0233 g).The other ingredients include colloidal silicon dioxide, saccharin sodium, orange flavor, lemon-lime flavor, maltodextrin, arabic gum, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol, mannitol, D-glucono-1,5-lactone and sorbitol.

Contraindications

Juniorlax® must not be taken if your child is allergic to any of the active ingredients or other ingredients, has an intestinal stricture or obstruction, is at risk of intestinal perforation or has a severe inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.

Dosage and application

Always give your child Juniorlax® exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Children aged 2 to 6 years usually take the contents of one sachet daily, children aged 7 to 11 years take the contents of two sachets.The dose can be adjusted as needed but should not be more than four sachets per day.The solution can be divided into two parts and taken morning and evening.

Application instructions

To prepare the solution, dissolve the contents of one sachet in 62.5 ml of water and stir well until the powder is completely dissolved.The solution can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.If you have very loose stools or diarrhea, the dose should be reduced.

Side effects

Possible side effects include abdominal pain, intestinal noise, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, bloating, flatulence, and allergic reactions.If you experience serious side effects, you should stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor.

Warnings and precautions

Juniorlax® contains sorbitol and should therefore be used with caution if you have known sugar intolerances.If there is impaired kidney function or a controlled potassium diet, the potassium content should be taken into account.It can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Storage

Keep Juniorlax® out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the package.The prepared solution can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours or at room temperature for 3 hours.
