Area of application

This medicine is a laxative used to treat chronic constipation in adolescents, adults and elderly patients.It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.Macrogol helps to achieve comfortable bowel movements, even if constipation has existed for a long time.If you do not feel better or even feel worse after taking it, please contact your doctor.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredients of this preparation include 13.125 g of macrogol 3350, 0.3507 g of sodium chloride, 0.1785 g of sodium bicarbonate and 0.0466 g of potassium chloride.In addition, it contains various excipients such as saccharin sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, orange flavor, lemon-lime flavor, maltodextrin, arabic gum, alpha-tocopherol, mannitol, D-glucono-1,5-lactone and sorbitol.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride or any of the other ingredients.It is also not suitable for perforated intestinal wall, intestinal blockage (ileus) or severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Adults, adolescents and elderly patients should take 1 sachet 1 to 3 times daily as needed.This product is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

The duration of use should normally not be longer than 2 weeks.However, on the advice of your doctor, you may take it longer, especially if you have persistent constipation or certain diseases that cause constipation.In such cases the dose can be reduced to one sachet once or twice daily.

If you take more than you should, you may experience severe diarrhea and dehydration.In this case you should stop taking it and drink plenty of fluids.Missed doses should be taken without doubling the next dose.

To get the most benefit, take the medicine as prescribed.If the symptoms worsen or do not improve, you should consult a doctor.

Intake

This medicine can be taken at any time of the day and without regard to meals.Open the bag and pour the contents into a glass with about 125 ml of water.Stir until the powder is completely dissolved and the solution is clear or slightly cloudy.You can then drink the solution.

Patient information

You should continue to drink enough fluids while taking it, as the liquid content of the preparation does not replace regular fluid intake.If you experience side effects such as swelling, shortness of breath, fatigue, dehydration or heart problems, you should stop taking it and contact your doctor immediately.

The preparation has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
