Description

TUMAROL Children's Balm N is a herbal medicine that is used for use on the skin in catarrhal diseases of the respiratory tract.It is used externally to relieve the symptoms of colds in the respiratory tract with viscous mucus.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredients in TUMAROL Children's Balsam N are eucalyptus oil and pine needle oil, each with a concentration of 50 mg per 1 g of ointment.The preparation contains white petroleum jelly, which contains butylhydroxytoluene (Ph. Eur.), as an excipient.

Area of application

TUMAROL Children's Balm N is used to improve the symptoms of colds in the respiratory tract with viscous mucus.It is applied topically to the skin to relieve symptoms.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to eucalyptus oil, pine needle oil, cineole or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The product should also not be used if you have bronchial asthma, whooping cough or pseudocroup or if you are breastfeeding.The ointment must not be used on damaged skin, for example in the case of burns.It is also not permitted for use in infants and small children up to 2 years of age.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Adults and children aged 2 years and over can apply the ointment twice a day, especially in the evening, to the chest or back and cover with a soft cloth.The recommended amount is:

For children aged 2-6 years: 0.5 g of ointment (corresponds to approx. 3 cm of ointment strand)

For children aged 6-12 years: 1 g ointment (corresponds to approx. 6 cm ointment strand)

For adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: 2 g of ointment (corresponds to approx. 12 cm of ointment strand)

An ointment mass of 1 g contains 0.05 g of eucalyptus oil and 0.05 g of pine needle oil.

The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease.If symptoms persist for more than a week or if you experience shortness of breath, fever, or purulent or bloody sputum, see a doctor immediately.

Intake

Unless otherwise prescribed, apply the ointment to the chest or back twice daily, especially in the evening, and cover the treated area with a soft cloth.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.Avoid contact of the medicine with the eyes and do not use the ointment on mucous membranes.After use, clean your hands thoroughly and make sure that children cannot come into contact with the rubbed skin areas with their hands.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

There are no sufficient studies on the use of the drug during pregnancy.Therefore, this medicine should not be used during this time.The ointment must not be used during breastfeeding.
