Diarrhoea can have various causes, such as food intolerances, infections or side effects of medication. In acute diarrhoea, there is a risk of dehydration because the body loses a lot of fluid. It is important to restore fluid and electrolyte balance quickly to protect the body from dehydration.

Elytro contains a balanced combination of glucose and electrolytes to balance fluid and electrolyte loss. The glucose-electrolyte mixture is tasteless and vegan. It can be dissolved in boiled, cooled water or tea and drunk hot or cold. Elytro is suitable for children from 3 years, adolescents and adults.

The individual duration of use depends on the doctor's instructions. In case of prolonged diarrhoea with fever, cramps or blood in the stool, a doctor should be consulted. Elytro can provide rapid relief from fluid and electrolyte loss due to diarrhoea and helps to get back into shape more quickly.

Elytro is easy to dose anywhere, making it ideal for home and travel medicine cabinets. It is lactose-free, preservative-free and contains no added flavourings. However, please note that Elytro should not be used for self-treatment of severe diarrhoea that lasts longer than three days. Important information: Elytro contains a source of phenylalanine. Diabetics should only use Elytro after consulting their doctor. Elytro should not be used in renal excretory disorders, metabolic alkalosis, insatiable vomiting, carbohydrate absorption disorders, clouding of consciousness and shock, and in the presence of phenylketonuria. Parenteral use of Elytro is not appropriate.
