Directions for use of the article Loperamid AL akut Hartkapseln Active substance: loperamide hydrochloride. Indications: For the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea where no causative therapy is available. Warning: Contains lactose. Do not take for more than two days without medical advice. Other ingredients: Gelatine, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich], maize starch, talc, quinoline yellow (E 104), ferric hydroxide oxide (E 172), iron(II,III) oxide (E 172), indigocarmine (E 132), titanium dioxide (E 171). What is LOPERAMID AL acute and what is it used for? Loperamide hydrochloride is a medicine for diarrhoea. LOPERAMID AL acute is used for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over if no causative therapy is available. How should LOPERAMID AL acute be taken? Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. At the beginning of the treatment of acute diarrhoea, take the first dose. Thereafter, the repeat dose should be taken after each unformed stool. The maximum recommended daily dose should not be exceeded. LOPERAMID AL acute is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. The hard capsules should be taken unchewed with some liquid. Do not take LOPERAMID AL akut for longer than 2 days without medical advice. If you have taken a larger amount of LOPERAMID AL acute than you should, seek medical advice or go to hospital immediately. How should LOPERAMID AL acute be stored? Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister pack. The medicine must be kept away from heat. What LOPERAMID AL acute contains: The active substance is loperamide hydrochloride. 1 hard capsule contains 2 mg loperamide hydrochloride. The other ingredients are gelatine, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich], maize starch, talc, quinoline yellow (E 104), ferric hydroxide oxide (E 172), ferric oxide (E 172), indigocarmine (E 132), titanium dioxide (E 171).
