Areas of application

Ibu-Lysine AL 400 mg film-coated tablets are used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains as well as to reduce fever.The active ingredient ibuprofen, which is one of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing effects.By adding lysine, the effect is said to occur more quickly.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The film-coated tablets contain 683.47 mg ibuprofen-DL-lysine and 400 mg ibuprofen as active ingredients.Cellulose, microcrystalline, crospovidone, copovidone, talc, magnesium stearate (vegetable), poly(vinyl alcohol), titanium dioxide and macrogol 4000 are included as excipients.

Dosage and application

The recommended dose is one tablet (400 mg) every six hours, but not more than three tablets in 24 hours.The tablets should be taken with liquid.The application is only intended for a short time.If you have a fever, the medicine should not be taken for longer than three days and if you have pain, you should not take it for longer than four days without medical advice.In adolescents, it should not be taken for longer than three days without medical advice.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients, have gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, have severely impaired liver or kidney function, have heart failure or active bleeding.Caution is advised if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, lupus, liver or kidney dysfunction and hay fever.The product should be avoided during the last three months of pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, headache, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, irritability, skin hypersensitivity, attacks of shortness of breath, and visual disturbances.If tarry stools or visual disturbances occur, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

Warnings and precautions

Reactivity may be impaired, particularly in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.If you have pain or fever, do not use for longer than stated in the package leaflet without medical advice.Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma or prone to allergic reactions should consult a doctor before use.Alcohol consumption should be avoided if possible during long-term treatment.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The product should be avoided during the last three months of pregnancy and while breastfeeding.During breastfeeding, the medicine may be used for a maximum of three days to treat fever or a maximum of four days to treat pain, as only small amounts pass into breast milk.
