Clotrimazole AL spray 1% is a medicine used to treat fungal diseases of the skin. The active ingredient clotrimazole fights the fungus by penetrating the affected skin layers and killing the fungus or inhibiting its growth. The spray is used to treat fungal infections of the skin caused by various fungi such as dermatophytes, yeasts, moulds, Malassezia furfur and infections caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum. These infections may manifest as mycoses of the feet, mycoses of the skin and skin folds, pityriasis versicolor, erythrasma and superficial candidiasis. The application is carried out by spraying a thin layer of the solution onto the affected skin areas and rubbing it in. The duration of treatment varies depending on the disease and should be at least 4 weeks to ensure complete healing. Side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions of the skin such as burning or stinging and redness of the skin. The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of the medicine. During pregnancy, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use.
