Epi-Pevaryl® P.v.1% solution - your helper against skin fungus

Epi-Pevaryl® P.v.1% solution is a proven and reliable medicine for treating fungal skin infections.It is particularly effective for bran ringworm, also known as pityriasis versicolor, which is caused by the yeast Pityrosporum orbiculare or ovale.The solution helps relieve itchy, flaky skin and redness caused by a fungal infection.The active ingredient econazole treats the fungal infection, with symptoms usually resolving significantly within 3 days of treatment.

The solution comes in a convenient sachet and can be easily applied to affected skin areas after showering, including the scalp, between the toes and the rest of the body.The duration of treatment is usually 3 days, but can be continued up to 6 days if symptoms persist.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

Epi-Pevaryl® P.v.1% solution is a fungicidal medicine for the external treatment of non-inflammatory fungal diseases of the skin and scalp, which are accompanied by flaking and reddish spots.It is used for bran fungus, which is caused by the yeast Pityrosporum orbiculare or ovale.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

The active ingredient in Epi-Pevaryl® P.v.1% solution is econazole.Each sachet contains 100 mg Econazole.The other ingredients include purified water, N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-(2-lauramidoethyl)aminoacetic acid sodium salt, trideceth-3-sulfate sodium, isopropanol, polysorbate 20, PEG-150 distearate, sorbitan laurate and benzyl alcohol.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity reactions can occur to all medicines.If you are already allergic to the active ingredient econazole or one of the other ingredients of the medicine, it must not be used.

Dosage

One sachet of Epi-Pevaryl® P.v. is administered on three consecutive evenings before going to bed.1% solution used.First, the whole body, including the hair, is showered.The solution is then applied to the damp scalp, the still damp, affected parts of the body and the rest of the body.Armpits, skin folds and spaces between the toes are not forgotten.A third of the contents of a bag are used for the scalp, the affected areas of the body and the rest of the body.The solution is massaged in for at least 3-5 minutes.The resulting foam is not rinsed off, but is allowed to dry and leave on overnight.The solution can be rinsed off the next morning.

Intake

First, the hair and the entire body are showered.A small portion of the solution is applied to damp hair and massaged in for at least 3-5 minutes.The affected parts of the body, the remaining body surface and the scalp are rubbed with around 1/3 of the dose (10 g in total).Armpits, skin folds and spaces between the toes should not be forgotten.If possible, the back should be treated by a second person.The foam is not rinsed off but left on the skin to dry.The medication is left on overnight and showered off the next morning.

Patient information

Generally, the fungal skin disease heals after using the medicine for three consecutive days.If live fungi are still detectable after 2 weeks, the treatment must be repeated.To avoid relapses, follow-up treatment after 1 and 3 months is advisable if there is a risk of new infection or in areas with increased incidence.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The medicine should only be used after careful consideration of the benefits and risks.It is not known whether econazole passes into breast milk.

Notes

Care must be taken to ensure that no solution comes into contact with the eyes.It is important to ensure that the treatment lasts for a sufficiently long time and that appropriate hygienic measures are taken, such as regular linen changes.

Other

Epi-Pevaryl® P.v.1% solution is particularly suitable for the short-term treatment of bran fungus on hairy and hairless skin.The recommended dose is to initially shower your hair and the entire body.Then Epi-Pevaryl® P.v.1% solution applied to the damp scalp, the still damp, affected parts of the body and the rest of the body.The contents of an entire bag are intended for one application. The solution is massaged in for at least 3-5 minutes, the foam is not rinsed off, but allowed to dry and leave to act overnight.The next morning, the solution is rinsed off and the application is repeated on three consecutive evenings.
