Instructions for use for CLOTRIMAZOL AL 2% vaginal cream, 20 g
CLOTRIMAZOL AL 2% - Good choice for vaginal yeast infections
Clotrimazole AL 2% is a proven help for vaginal yeast infections. It is used for discharge caused by fungi, usually Candida, for vaginal inflammation caused by fungi and for superinfections with bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole. No prescription is required for this product.
Widespread and still a taboo topic
Vaginal yeast infections, also known as vaginal yeast infections, are a common problem but are rarely talked about.Almost every woman knows the unpleasant symptoms such as itching, burning and swelling of the labia and vaginal mucosa, accompanied by a crumbly, whitish-yellow discharge. These infections occur when the balance in the vaginal environment is disturbed, as fungi love the warm, moist climate.Women of childbearing age, pregnant women and women after menopause are particularly affected.
The good news is that a short course of clotrimazole is often enough to clear up the fungal infection. If infections recur, it may make sense to have your partner examined too.
For vaginal fungus
The active ingredient clotrimazole has been used successfully as an antimycotic for fungal infections for years.During the growth phase of the fungus, it attacks its cell membrane, causing it to become leaky. As a result, the fungus loses the ability to reproduce and dies.Since fungi hardly change structurally, clotrimazole remains effective even after years.
Application recommendation
Unless otherwise prescribed, the vaginal cream should be inserted one applicator filling (approx. 5 g) into the vagina as deeply as possible and emptied on three consecutive evenings.Treatment should not be carried out during menstruation.A new disposable applicator must be used for each application and discarded after use.If symptoms do not improve within the first four days, you should see a doctor.
1. Pull the piston of the disposable applicator out as far as it will go.
2. Open the tube, attach the applicator, press firmly and fill by gently squeezing the tube.
3. Remove the applicator from the tube, insert it as deeply as possible into the vagina and empty it by pressing the plunger.
When medical advice makes sense
Fungal spores thrive in the warm, humid climate of the vagina. If a vaginal fungus does not go away or returns regularly despite treatment with clotrimazole AL 2%, it is advisable to see a doctor.Increased intimate hygiene can make the vaginal mucosa more susceptible to fungi and should be avoided.
More risk for pregnant women
During pregnancy, estrogen levels in the body are increased, which can change the vaginal flora and promote a yeast infection.Taking the pill can also affect your hormonal balance and increase the risk of vaginal thrush.
Effectively prevent vaginal thrush
To prevent vaginal thrush, we recommend a healthy, fiber-rich diet and avoiding sweets.A healthy lifestyle with enough sleep and exercise helps the body maintain its protective mechanisms. You should also make sure to wear breathable underwear and wipe from front to back when using the toilet.
