Directions for use of the article Clotrimazole AL 2% vaginal cream: Clotrimazole AL 2% is a medicine used to treat fungal infections of the vagina. The active substance clotrimazole inhibits the growth and multiplication of fungal cells and some bacteria. It is used for discharge caused by fungi (mostly Candida), inflammation of the vagina caused by fungi and superinfections with clotrimazole-sensitive bacteria. The recommended dosage is 1 applicator filling (approx. 5 g vaginal cream) inserted as deeply as possible into the vagina and emptied once daily in the evening on 3 consecutive days. The treatment should not be carried out during menstruation. If necessary, a second treatment cycle can be added. If there is no significant improvement of the symptoms after 4 days, a doctor should be consulted. The vaginal cream is applied with the enclosed disposable applicator. The applicator is pulled out as far as it will go, then the tube is opened and the applicator is filled with the vaginal cream. The applicator is then inserted into the vagina and emptied by pressing on the plunger. A new disposable applicator should be used for each application. The vaginal cream should not be used for more than 3 days after opening the tube. It should be kept out of reach of children. AL AL Clotrimazole AL 2% contains the active substance clotrimazole in a concentration of 1 g vaginal cream contains 0.02 g clotrimazole. Other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, cetylstearyl alcohol, hexadecyl palmitate, octyldodecanol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate and purified water. There are some notes to consider. Before treatment, check for allergy to antifungal agents (e.g. clotrimazole). There may be interactions with other medicines, so it is important to tell the doctor or pharmacist about any medicines you are already using. In case of a hypersensitivity reaction of the skin, such as burning or stinging, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Precise dosage should be observed in infants, young children and the elderly. Pregnant women and those who are breastfeeding may use it after consulting a doctor.
