Conchae 50%, Trituration is an anthroposophical medicine that is used for various complaints.It contains the active ingredient Conchae, i.e. natural calcium carbonate from oyster shells.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

According to the anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, Conchae 50% is used for the following complaints: puffy, pale appearance (pasty habitus), tendency to inflammation of the lymphatic tissue and allergies (lymphatic-exudative and allergic diathesis), nervous hyperexcitability, sleep disorders, calcium metabolism disorders, excessively heavy menstrual bleeding (hypermenorrhea) and bone structure disorders.

Contraindications and precautions

Conchae 50% should not be taken if a high calcium concentration has been detected in the blood or in children under one year of age.If lymph node enlargement lasts longer than four weeks or if there are acute signs of inflammation, you should consult a doctor.If you have menstrual disorders, a medical consultation is also required.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should only be used after consulting your doctor.

Interactions

Taking Conchae 50% at the same time as certain antibiotics such as tetracyclines, quinolones or some cephalosporins can reduce their effectiveness.Therefore, there should be an interval of at least two hours between taking Conchae 50% and other medicines.During simultaneous treatment with cardiac glycosides, the calcium blood level should be monitored.

Application and dosage

Conchae 50% should always be taken exactly as directed by your doctor.The usual dose for adults and children aged one year and over is one measuring spoonful of powder (approx. 0.2 g) one to three times a day, taken with a little liquid.Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after two weeks.In the case of chronic illnesses, consultation with the doctor is necessary.

Side effects and composition

There are no known side effects.The medicine contains lactose monohydrate as an other ingredient.It must not be used after the expiry date stated on the label and carton and should not be stored above 25°C.
