Horsetail tea is a traditional herbal medicine that is used to flush the urinary tract and support wound healing.Internal use helps with mild urinary tract problems, while external use has a supportive effect on superficial wounds.These applications are based on many years of experience with the medicine.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

For internal use, adults and young people aged 12 and over drink a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows three to four times a day: Pour 150 milliliters of boiling water over one to three teaspoons of horsetail, which corresponds to about one to three grams, and cover and let it steep for about ten to fifteen minutes.The tea is then strained.It is important to drink plenty of additional fluids.

For external use, moist compresses are applied once or several times a day or an infusion prepared as follows is applied to the affected skin area: Boil ten teaspoons of horsetail, which corresponds to around ten grams, with one liter of water.After cooling sufficiently, the decoction is used to make moist compresses or to apply to the wound.

Internal use should not last longer than two to four weeks.If symptoms last longer than a week or recur periodically, as well as if the symptoms worsen or if symptoms such as fever, pain when urinating, cramp-like pain, acute urinary retention or blood in the urine occur, a doctor must be consulted.

When used externally, a doctor should be consulted if symptoms last longer than a week or if the symptoms worsen and/or signs of skin inflammation with redness, warmth and/or purulent deposits.

Notes

Horsetail must not be used if you are hypersensitive or allergic to horsetail.When used internally, the product should not be used in cases of water retention (edema) as a result of restricted heart and/or kidney activity or if fluid intake is recommended to be reduced due to existing illnesses.

Due to insufficient data, use is not recommended in children under 12 years of age.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Ingredients

75 Grams of medicinal tea contains 75 grams of horsetail.Other components are not included.

Areas of application

Horsetail tea is used internally for existing edema and those that have occurred after injuries, to flush the urinary tract and for kidney grit.Externally, it supports the treatment of poorly healing wounds.

Dosage and application

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults drink a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows three times a day: pour boiling water, about 150 milliliters, over two teaspoonfuls of horsetail, which corresponds to about two grams, and strain after about ten to fifteen minutes.Make sure you drink plenty of additional fluids.

To prepare poultices, ten grams of horsetail are used in one liter of water.The tea is used for drinking and for poultices after making a tea infusion.

Storage instructions

Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children and protected from light and moisture.After the expiry date, the medicine may no longer be used.
