Area of application

Hylan eye drops are used for the symptomatic treatment of dry eyes.Dry eyes can have various causes, such as getting older, wearing contact lenses, working at a computer for a long time or high levels of dust.Symptoms such as burning, itching and impaired visual acuity may occur.The eye drops contain a tear substitute that relieves these symptoms.The hyaluronic acid it contains also supports wound healing.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Hylan eye drops contain sodium hyaluronate as an active ingredient.Other ingredients include carbomer 981, glycerol and water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 4 times daily.A maximum of 1 drop can be used 8 times a day.

Application

Hylan eye drops should always be used exactly according to the instructions in the package leaflet.Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, drip 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 4 times a day.The maximum dosage is 1 drop 8 times a day.The eye drops are suitable for long-term therapy.If you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

Occasionally, a temporary burning sensation may occur immediately after application.If you notice any side effects that are not listed in this leaflet, please report them to your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the label and carton.Hylan eye drops should not be stored above 25ºC.The single-dose containers should be stored in a sealed pouch and in the outer carton to protect the contents from light.Leftover single-dose containers should be destroyed 4 weeks after each sachet has been opened.After opening the one-dose container, the eye drops should be used for a maximum of 12 hours at room temperature and then destroyed.
