Melolin is a low-stick, absorbent compress made from a cotton-polyester blend.This wound dressing is characterized by its high absorbency.The polyester coating on the wound side reduces the risk of sticking to the wound, allowing for painless dressing changes.The excellent absorption of exudate (wound fluid) allows longer intervals between dressing changes and thus contributes to economical care.The back of the bandage is equipped with a water-repellent top layer that prevents moisture from seeping through to the outside.

Melolin offers very good exudate absorption and enables atraumatic dressing changes, which ensures undisturbed wound rest.The bandage cushions and protects the wound from external influences.Melolin can also be cut to size without fraying.A secondary dressing, such as Cutifix Stretch or Opsite Flexifix, is necessary for fixation.The compress is formulated to be latex-free.

Areas of application

Melolin is suitable for the primary care of low to moderately exuding postoperative wounds, cuts and abrasions as well as minor burns.
