Jelonet is an ointment compress with paraffin that serves as a soft paraffin gauze bandage.It is placed between the wound and the secondary dressing to prevent adhesion.This enables an atraumatic dressing change that is gentle and painless for the patient.The open structure of the cotton gauze allows wound exudate to easily drain into an absorbent secondary dressing.A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the bandage.

Jelonet's white paraffin coating protects the wound surface and edges.The air and exudate permeable structure helps to avoid skin maceration.The dressing enables atraumatic dressing changes and ensures undisturbed wound rest.It also has a pain-relieving effect.A secondary dressing is required for application; depending on the amount of exudate, absorbent compresses, film dressings or fixing bandages can be used.Jelonet is latex-free.

Area of application

Jelonet can be used to treat minor burns, wounds with skin loss such as lacerations, abrasions, skin graft wounds, and lower leg ulcers.
