Cutimed Hydro is a range of sterile, latex-free, self-adhesive hydrocolloid dressings that create and maintain a moist wound environment to promote healing.The hydrocolloids absorb the exudate, forming a stable gel that adapts to the wound.Vertical absorption of exudate keeps wound edges dry, reducing the risk of maceration.Sealing the wound minimizes the risk of colonization with bacteria.Cutimed Hydro is waterproof, offers optimal hold and can be removed in one piece.

The thin Cutimed Hydro L consists of a wound contact layer made of hydrocolloids with a top surface made of a semi-permeable polyurethane film.Cutimed Hydro B has an adhesive edge and consists of a wound contact layer made of hydrocolloids, which is covered on the outside with a foil-coated polyurethane foam.The formula is latex-free and is not made with natural rubber latex.

Areas of application

Cutimed Hydro L is suitable for dry to slightly exuding wounds, such as lacerations, minor abrasions, first and second degree burns, lacerations or lacerations, and as postoperative protection of closed surgical wounds.

Cutimed Hydro B is suitable for weakly to moderately exuding wounds, such as venous leg ulcers and arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, decubitus ulcers, postoperative wounds and split-thickness skin donor sites.

Both hydrocolloid dressings are also suitable as semi-occlusive secondary dressings.

Change of dressing

The dressing changes depend on the condition of the wound, especially the amount of exudate.
