Mikrozid AF Liquid surface rapid disinfection is an aldehyde-free rapid disinfection preparation based on alcohol.It is ready to use and is characterized by a very broad effectiveness within a very short time.It also has good wetting properties and dries quickly and without stains.

Areas of application

This disinfectant is suitable for disinfecting medical devices and other surfaces, especially in areas with an increased risk of infection and short exposure times.It can be used, for example, in patient treatment units, examination tables, OP-tables with adjacent work surfaces and medical device surfaces.

Mikrozid AF Liquid surface rapid disinfection contains the following active ingredients: 100 g of solution contains 25 g of ethanol (94%) and 35 g of propan-1-ol.In addition, it is labeled with fragrances in accordance with VO (EC) No. 648/2004.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage and application

Mikrozid AF Liquid rapid surface disinfection is a ready-to-use solution.It should be applied undiluted to the surfaces to be disinfected and allowed to take effect.Make sure that the surface is completely wetted and remains moist throughout the entire exposure time.Before disinfection, remove all visible dirt.The application should be a maximum of 50 ml/m².This product is intended for professional use only.

Microbiological effectiveness

Mikrozid AF Liquid surface rapid disinfection is effective against a variety of pathogens, including bacteria (including tuberculosis), fungi, hepatitis B viruses, HIV, HCV, adenoviruses, noroviruses, rotaviruses, papovaviruses, polioviruses and vaccinia viruses.

Exposure times

The exposure times vary depending on the pathogen.For bacteria and fungi the exposure time is 1 minute. MRSA and tuberculosis also require an exposure time of 1 minute.Virucidal activity is achieved after 30 minutes, while limited virucidal activity (including HIV, HBV and HCV) occurs after just 30 seconds.Adeno viruses (type 2) require 2 minutes, BVDV 30 seconds, noro viruses 1 minute, Papova SV 40 15 minutes, polio viruses 30 minutes and rota viruses and vaccinia virus 30 seconds.The effectiveness according to the VAH / DGHM-list / certificate for surface disinfection in hospitals and practices is 5 minutes, while the ÖGHMP Expertise No. 95/8 stipulates an exposure time of 1 minute.
