Caya® Gel - Contraceptive gel for use with diaphragm

Caya® Gel is a contraceptive gel that is used in combination with a diaphragm or cervical cap to increase the safety of these contraceptive methods.The gel has an antimotility effect on the sperm, which means that it inhibits the mobility of the sperm and thus hinders their movement.This is achieved by an acidic pH level, which creates an unfavorable environment for sperm in the vagina.At the same time, the gel promotes the vaginal flora, which has a positive effect on the health of the vagina.

To use, place the gel into the membrane recesses and onto the outer ring of the Caya® diaphragm each time you have sexual intercourse.The gel is pleasant and practical to use for both partners.

Notes

Store the Caya® Gel in a dry place at a temperature between 4 and 25 degrees.

The ingredients of Caya® Gel are lactic acid, sodium lactate, cellulose, sorbic acid and water.

Additional information

The Caya® Gel is identical to the previously manufactured products Contracep® green and ContraGel® green.The lactic acid-based composition was assessed in a study in 1989 as being just as safe as products containing nonoxynol-9, but with a significantly lower potential for side effects.
