The Caya® contoured diaphragm is a barrier contraceptive that is anatomically and ergonomically designed to fit most women.It is easy to insert and remove, laying gently into the supporting fabric and sliding out easily when removed.One size fits almost all women, and it is comfortable and practical for both partners.

No prescription is required for this product.Caya® should always be used in combination with a contraceptive gel (e.g. Caya® Gel).The gel has an antimotility effect on the sperm.Each time you have sexual intercourse, you put this gel into the membrane depressions and onto the outer ring of the Caya® diaphragm.

The pH value of the gel is acidic, creating an unfriendly environment for sperm in the vagina.At the same time, the gel has a positive effect on the vaginal flora.The effectiveness is improved in two ways.

Area of application

With Caya diaphragm you can have safe, hormone-free and self-determined contraception whenever you need it.

Application

The Caya diaphragm is inserted into the vagina like a tampon.It lies between the posterior vaginal vault and the niche on the pubic bone and completely covers the cervix.It acts as a mechanical barrier that prevents sperm from entering the cervix.

After use, the Caya diaphragm should be cleaned with soap and water.The use of disinfectants is not necessary and not recommended.In principle, boiling is possible.After a vaginal infection, the Caya diaphragm should be replaced with a new one.

When using, never forget: always use in combination with a contraceptive gel, feel the cervix to see whether it is covered by the Caya diaphragm, leave it in the vagina for at least 6 hours after the last intercourse and never leave it in the vagina for longer than 24 hours continuously.

Notes

The Caya diaphragm does not offer protection against sexually transmitted diseases.It is not a safe method of contraception when used as a contraceptive gel alone without a barrier contraceptive.It is water-soluble and compatible with condoms made of natural rubber or polyurethane.

There is no feedback regarding intolerances.If impairments occur, stop using Caya Gel and ask your doctor or pharmacist.The Caya diaphragm should be stored in a cool and dry place.Always keep the tube closed.After opening, use within 3 months.

If you have forgotten to insert the Caya diaphragm and have had unprotected sexual intercourse, please contact your doctor immediately to discuss emergency contraception.

Contraindication

The Caya diaphragm should not be used in the first 6 weeks after delivery or birth.Not even if the conventional diaphragm was 60 mm or 85 mm and larger or if the pelvic floor was severely lowered or the uterus had prolapsed.

Ask your doctor or midwife if you have problems getting the Caya diaphragm into the correct position, use vaginal therapeutics, have had pelvic or vaginal surgery, have ever had toxic shock syndrome, or have other personal medical questions.
